Happy Wednesday! We’re more than half way through the week!!
So, I kind of disappeared from blog-dom. I have been so busy between moving out of my apartment, living on a big red couch, flying home for an interview & getting the job (YAY!), and finishing out the school year at my current job. It’s my final few days here in North Carolina and I’m just trying to enjoy my kiddos and my last few days with the girls. It’s all very bittersweet, but I am so ready to see what the next chapter has in store for me!
Enough with boring life talk, lets talk running.
Running? What’s that?!
Oh yeah, I haven’t been doing much of that lately. It’s not that I don’t want to run, it’s that I will literally catch a treadmill on fire myself if I have to use it one more time. I want to run outside. With a high of 101 tomorrow, that won’t be happening.
Solution? I avoid running.
Well, I shouldn’t say that. I’ve run about 10 miles in the last 2 weeks. High mileage there, dude. I also realize that this is one big fat excuse. You don’t need to remind me of that.
However, with another half marathon waiting for me on September 9th, it’s time to get serious. I’ve typed up a training plan and I’m ready to get started! I’m pretty psyched that after Friday, I’ll be done working for a bit and will be able to wake up and run before it gets too hot outside. Plus, Ohio tends to be a little cooler in the morning than the unforgiving NC weather.
You hear that Asics? You and I have some hot & sweaty dates in the very near future. I’ve missed you.
I realize that this was an insanely thrilling blog post. Life happens, and I’m currently enjoying mine. In about 2 days I’ll be job free and will probably be over-sharing about my next training cycle way more than anyone ever wanted.
